   With a background in design and fine arts, I have always been drawn to lighting.  When done properly, lighting has the ability to completely transform a space, and I learned this in art school doing sculpture designs. 

          When I decided I wanted to do landscape lighting, I realized that lighting has a lot of specifications, and when it's done wrong, it doesn't serve the landscape. A lot of times it looks too harsh and it's not honoring the plants, it is taking away from them. Everyone wants to enjoy their outdoor space, especially when a lot of money has been put into fine landscaping. My goal is to gift homeowners the ability to enjoy their foliage at all hours of the day, and have it feel natural. When you cannot see the lighting fixture because it is carefully hidden amongst the plants, it feels as if the light is shining from the sun even at night time.

            My goal is not to show you where the light is coming from. It is simply there—like the moon or the soft, natural glow you might find in nature. We carefully design and craft the illumination to respect the natural form of your trees, plants, and architecture, enhancing their texture and depth with nuanced light and shadow.
